Four researchers from the Geographical Institute "Jovan Cvijić" SASA, Dr. Zlata Vuksanović-Macura, Dr. Dragana Miljanović, Dr. Dejan Doljak and Dr. Marko Filipović, spent one month study stay in Aalborg, Denmark, within the DASH - Deliver Safe and Social Housing project, funded by the European Union under the Programme Horizon Europe – Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (number 101086488).
The study stay was realized in August 2023 as part of the secondments of researchers within the DASH project. Researchers attended a series of thematic sessions related to urban regeneration and housing, cooperation between the municipality and housing associations, housing financing, housing strategies, and urban planning system. The study stay included several visits to social housing complexes in Aalborg Municipality and those managed by Himmerland Housing Association. Researchers from the Institute also participated in a three-day workshop, "Legal framework models and innovative housing policies", organized from the 21st to 23rd of August by Aalborg University, Department of the Built Environment. At the workshop, Dr. Zlata Vuksanović-Macura presented “Social Housing in Serbia”, showcasing the housing and social housing conditions in Serbia.
The study stay also provided an opportunity for researchers from the Geographical Institute to exchange knowledge with colleagues from partner institutions on the DASH project from Portugal and Germany, who were in Aalborg at the same time.
