Associates of the Geographical Institute “Jovan Cvijic” SASA, Dr Željko Bjeljac and Dr Јovana Brankov participated in the Panel Discussion: "The Role of Traditional Games and Sports in the Creation of Tourist Destinations and the Sustainable Development of Local Communities". The discussion was attended by scientists from Italy and Croatia, as well as practitioners from the field of traditional sports and games. It was organized on the occasion of the 50th Olympiad of Ancient Sports in Brođanci, Croatia.

On that occasion, the associates of the Geographical Institute held a lecture on: "Old Folk Sports, Games and Competitions – Preservation, Transfer of Knowledge and Presentation" in which they presented part of the multi-year research results on this topic.
