On February 21st, 2025, the promotion of the monograph "Đerdap National Park – the First 50 Years" was held at the Belgrade City Library. In the presence of employees of the PE Đerdap National Park, reviewers, numerous associates from scientific institutions and national parks, as well as the media, this significant monograph, published on the occasion of the anniversary - half a century since the proclamation of the Đerdap National Park was presented to the audience.

One of the reviewers of the monograph, our colleague Dr Ana Milanović Pešić, had a speech at the promotion. In her address, she pointed out the decades-long successful cooperation between the Geographical Institute “Jovan Cvijić” SASA and the PE Đerdap National Park, which also resulted in the publication of the Lexicon of the Đerdap National Park in 2015. She also highlighted the participation of numerous associates of our Institute in projects and publications implemented by the PE Đerdap National Park, as well as the participation of Dr Jelena Ćalić in the Commission for the implementation and proclamation of the Geopark Đerdap.

According to the reviewer, Dr Ana Milanović Pešić, the monograph "Đerdap National Park - the First 50 Years" is a popular scientific publication that will enable the academic community, as well as nature lovers, to gain systematic knowledge about the untouched natural beauty and rich cultural heritage of our largest national park. The promotion of the monograph was attended by several colleagues from our Institute, including Dr. Jelena Ćalić and Dr. Dragana Milijašević Joksimović, who participated as collaborators in the creation of this publication.
