On May 27, 2025, Acting Assistant Minister of Science Dr. Marina Soković and her associates visited the Geographical Institute "Jovan Cvijić" of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts. During a constructive meeting with the Institute's management, led by Director Dr. Milan Radovanović, they discussed the Institute's previous activities related to national and international projects, the organization of scientific conferences, and the involvement of Institute associates in higher education. Dr. Radovanović also introduced Dr. Soković to the the Institute's plans for further development, its goals, as well as the challenges the Institute faces.

Dr. Soković highlighted the significance of visiting scientific research institutions and engaging in discussions with their management. She emphasized that such visits provide better insights into the institutes' work, reveal potential and challenges for future development of these institutions, and help identify ways to support the enhancement of scientific research work.

The meeting also included discussions about specific proposals for future projects of national interest that could be implemented, as well as plans for organizing major international scientific conferences in the upcoming period. Dr. Radovanović took this opportunity to express gratitude to Dr. Soković for the continuous support provided by the Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovation in implementing various scientific activities at our Institute.
