Regarding the promotion of seven associates to the position of senior research associate, Dr. Marija Drobnjaković, Dr. Jelena Ćalić, Dr. Milan Milenković, Dr. Ana Milanović Pešić, Dr. Gorica Stanojević, Dr. Jovana Brankov, and Dr. Nina B. Ćurčić, a suitable cocktail reception was held at the Geographical Institute "Jovan Cvijić" of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts. After this promotion, the number of senior research associates at the Institute increased to 16. On this occasion, the 90th birthday of Dr. Ljubomir Menković, former director of the Institute, was also celebrated, as well as the retirement of Dobrila Stajić, librarian, who were awarded with appropriate gifts as an expression of gratitude for decades of their dedicated work.
